Stepping into Divine Rage

Our modern era has given us the ability to be up to date on current world events.  Although it is a social responsibility to be informed, however, our media networks have also given us an increased sphere of awareness which at times can feel burdensome.  There is frustration in recognizing that one individual may be seemingly unable to have a positive impact on dismantling macro systems of oppression.  

Margaret Mead, famous anthropologist, once said “To never doubt that a small group of people can change the world; for indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”.  

Sometimes resolving big injustices require big solutions, but more often that not it starts with taking the first step.   One thing I’ve been hearing in social circles is “we aren’t angry enough”.  Anger is a highly charged and life saving emotion that can sometimes carry shame or fear because of social conditioning.  

This workshop isn’t about stillness or serenity, it’s about getting comfortable with expressing and embodying anger to better understand yourself and your power.

We’ll be doing somatic body movements, breathing exercises, tapping into our chakras/energy centers, vocal expressions, grounding with the earth, and speaking truths in a supportive space.
