A word of warning... “Hey! Why isn’t this hematite mirror shiny?!?!” Real hematite will have little lines in it, like the picture above, you might even see some of the red substate mixed in. Super shiny, mirror smooth specimens are likely to be synthetic, as are almost all magnetic “hematite”. While real magnetic hematite DOES exist, it’s pretty rare and you’re likely looking at magnetic “hematite” whose magnetic properties ARE useful for healing purposes but certainly not actual “hematite”
